Real places to get help

None of these will judge you, and none of them are surprised by anything. You don't need proof or a full story to contact them.

If you're in immediate danger, call your local emergency number — 911 in the US, 999 in the UK, 112 across the EU. This site can't reach anyone for you.

If someone is threatening to share your photos

This is sextortion, it is a crime, and it is not your fault. Do not pay — paying almost always brings a second demand. Stop replying, screenshot everything including their profile, and report it. If you're under 18, Take It Down can get the images removed without you sending them to anyone.

If you've sent money

Speed matters far more than embarrassment. Call your bank's fraud line today and use the words 'I was defrauded'. Gift cards, crypto, and wire transfers are hardest to recover, but companies do sometimes freeze funds if you report within hours. Then file a report — it's how patterns get traced across victims.

If someone is controlling, isolating, or scaring you

Abuse doesn't have to be physical to count, and it doesn't have to be in person. Monitoring your phone, deciding who you can talk to, threats dressed up as jokes, and rage that only appears in private are all recognised patterns. These lines are free, confidential, and will not push you to leave before you're ready.

If you're struggling to cope

Being deceived or manipulated by someone you cared about is a real loss, and the shame that follows it is heavy. You can talk to someone right now, for free, without it becoming a big formal thing.
